var str = `When I was released from the hospital (see Visitors, EMT Crew, December 25, 2018). It turned out I had no way to get home. I was taken to the hospital in an ambulance, so I didn't have a car and because it was Christmas Eve, none of the taxi companies were answering their phone. I called Mark Briscoe because he lives fairly close to the hospital. He did call me back, but was out in the Hamptons. I kept watching people coming and going and contemplated asking strangers to drive me home, but i didn't think that was going to work. I toyed with the idea of just spending the night in the waiting room, which wasn't all that attractive. So I gave in and called Peter Charlap. He and Shawn came in about a half hour (about 2am) to pick me up and take me home.`;
