It was also Jim Palmers birthday, but he didn't want it to be advertised as such. It pored, so an outdoor party didn't work out so well. It has been raining consistently in June. Purcell had a tent set up. Everyone first gathered in the house for hors d’oeuvres. Dinner was served in the tent. Purcell and Jim have an artists residency program at their home, Catwalk in Catskill, New York. They have been working with the Chicago Art Institute for about five years (they used to live in Chicago) and have recently decided to work with Vassar College. Purcell went to Vassar. Purcell and Vassar and me have been discussing the specifics fo a few months. Sacha Inger in the first Vassar Alumn to be in residencey and is staying at Catwalk in June.
